Mike and the Majestics are a Dallas based blues band featuring ROCKIN' BLUES & SWINGIN' SOUL music. Lead singer, Michael Schaefer, has been a serious student of the blues for over eight years. Known for powerful and soulful vocals, he's been able to pull together some of Dallas' best up-and-coming musicians to form The Majestics.
Recently the Majestics have added international blues man Dempsey Crenshaw to their lineup. Around 1957 he started touring with a list of artists that reads like a WHO’S Who of Rock & Roll and R&B. Dempsey has played with Sam & Dave, Jimmy Reed, Freddie King, Chuck Berry, T-Bone Walker, Eddie Floyd, Rufus Thomas, Marvin Gaye, Big Joe Turner and Etta James. He also did a 2 year stint with The Drifters from 1963 to 64. Dempsey started his own band called Shame Shame, that had success and a following in Dallas. And now we're very fortunate to be able to bring him to a stage near you.
So bring your dance shoes and call your friends. If you see "The Majestics" on the marquee, you know there's a house party going on inside. See you there.
